The firm was founded in 1987 and initially operated as an independent before joining a national staffing franchise in 1992. In April 2005, we formed GoodPeople and once again operate as an independent company backed by world-class resources.

The People behind GoodPeople:
Mignon Sweeney, PE (Owner | CFO) After completing her Masters in Chemical Engineering from Tulane, Mignon worked for five years in the Oil and Gas consulting business for EDG in Metairie, LA. She took a five year sabbatical following Hurricane Katrina to focus on the business and her children. In 2010, Mignon decided to return on a part-time basis to Engineering while managing the financials and strategic direction of Goodpeople. Craig Sweeney (Owner | Recruiter) Craig worked for four summers in direct sales for The Southwestern Company while at LSU. He brought that experience to the family business of Recruiting and has been in Sales, Management, and Recruiting since 1994. Craig still operates a "desk" specializing in IT/Technical Sales focusing on HIM/EMR positions. Susan Theard (Strategic Partner/Recruiter) Susan began her career in IT recruiting in the New Orleans metro area, which quickly spread to regional and national ERP placements. She completed training from Dunhill and Romac International, moving up the ranks to Managing Director of the New Orleans Romac office. Susan built the office by running her own “IT desk” while successfully training and managing a team of recruiters, growing the division.
Susan is also an accomplished sales executive with years of direct sales/marketing experience. As a board member of a regional technical organization (NOOUG), the Louisiana Technology Council, and other regional tech communities, Susan offers her clients up-to-date information and a venue to share ideas and build like communities within the IT arena. In her spare time, Susan enjoys running, cooking/baking, and gardening.
